Another one of my pages from Captain America issue 600.
This was my first and last attempt at an all digital page. I pencilled, inked and colored this one entirely on my Cintiq. Iv'e since abandoned the cintiq for the inking step, as it was too time consuming and a little counterintuitive. Some video footage of the digital inking process can be found here: [link] MITCHBREITWEISER.COM: [link] THE FUTURISTS(my webcomic): [link] MY TWITTER: [link] |

What problems did you have per se,when you inked
digitally? What do you mean by counterintuitive? Is it because of the ctrl+z?

Here's what I do best

I got waaayy too wrapped up in the detail because I could zoom in so much. Also, I kept trying to re-create actual inks and paper texture. I thought it was a bit redundant when I could actually use ink and paper!
I still do all digital sequential work, but it has a different look rather than trying to recreate physical media. You can see examples of that process in my creator owned webcomic, The Futurists.
This page really stood out in the comic, each panel feels like a freeze frame of a movie - very dynamic, and i cant help making the sound effects when im looking through them
Awesome work as always

You have such an eye for the cinematic. I very much love the contrast in color-range temperatures from panel to panel.
