the more aggressive textures overlaid here really drive it home. the palette and softer watercolor-esque gradients, especially in the first panel, seem to be bringing in a heavy atlas influence that work really well with the lines on this page
I tend to enjoy conservative panel layouts - but I really like what you did here with the floating panels near the end. The layout is both cool and doesn't call undue attention to itself.
Thanks! I'm usually really conservative, but I've been playing with my arrangements lately. The inset was stacked over panel one to give it the appearance of greater depth. The bottom panels worked for me on a number of levels. Primarily to provide some calm space after a relatively busy panels 1 & 2.
