I've been a fan of Lark and Weeks for a while, but I was not familiar with Mazzuchelli until recently after a TON of people told me that my art was reminiscent of his.

Yeah, totally. The thing that tweaked to me about it in this pic is the Cap's kicking stance. It's a pose Mazzuchelli used a lot for DD and also Batman. Here's an example. [link] . I'm not at home unfortunately so I can't post the DD image that leapt to mind right away.
Not saying you lifted the pose at all, though. Just saying that the image made my think of my favourite comic artist. :)
