Beautifully painted, I like the monotone background and how ultimately the red wash disappears as we get closer to Captain America thereby making him the first read in this fine illustration. I also admire your sense of framing and composition. Making the Red Skull slightly off kilter or imbalanced in that hes not standing up straight but at a slight angle really works to amplify hes a villain in the composition and the framing works beautifully as you give us objects in the extreme foreground that immerse the viewer and makes us feel like we are observing this. The background behind the Red Skull also give us a sense of scale and works well to ground him in the environment. Again, beautiful work.
I've always loved your work, and my brother and I try to buy most of the comics you're putting out. This is easily my favorite piece I've seen from you though, great job.
This is absolutely epic! I don't know if I've ever seen Red Skull look so triumphant hahah Really dig the fully painted look, it seems pretty different than your usual style (which is awesome anyway, very "old school"). All around amazing stuff man!
i like everything about this piece except iron man's head! like someone has already noted, it seems a little bit small. more than that, though, it seems to me like some of the lines are somehow off, making it look like it's just the slightest bit disproportionate or out of perspective. that being said, i suck and you draw for marvel, so take my words with a grain of salt.
